Antique Sterling Silver Mesh Purse. Marked “Pat’d 1910,” consistent with a patent issued to Whiting & Davis. The style, construction, and patent date are consistent with early Whiting & Davis pieces from the 1910s.
The frame is heavy, non-magnetic, and tarnishes black, typical of sterling silver or high-grade silver alloy. I haven’t had it professionally tested, but the tarnish and weight strongly suggest it’s sterling silver.
